The following example binds HBA instance lpfc0 to SCSI target 16 from Symmetrix
FA 5000123456789abc and instance lpfc1 to SCSI target 17 from Symmetrix FA
5000123456789def.
fcp-bind-WWNN = "5000123456789abc:lpfc0t16”,
"5000123456789def:lpfc1t17”;
7 Configuring the sd.conf
The target and LUN entries in the /kernel/drv/sd.conf relate directly to the persistent
binding entries in the lpfc.conf or lpfs.conf HBA driver configuration file. The fcp-bin-
WWNN lines in lpfc.conf or lpfs.conf relate to the HBA instance and the SCSI target
that is being persistently bound to it. See below for an example showing three LUNs
for two HBAs
Emulex LP9002L-E (PCI) HBA:
name=”sd” parent=”lpfc” target=16 lun=0 hba=”lpfc0”;
name=”sd” parent=”lpfc” target=16 lun=1 hba=”lpfc0”;
name=”sd” parent=”lpfc” target=16 lun=2 hba=”lpfc0”;
name=”sd” parent=”lpfc” target=17 lun=0 hba=”lpfc1”;
name=”sd” parent=”lpfc” target=17 lun=1 hba=”lpfc1”;
name=”sd” parent=”lpfc” target=17 lun=2 hba=”lpfc1”;
Emulex LP9002S-E (SBus) HBA:
name=”sd” parent=”lpfs” target=16 lun=0 hba=”lpfs0”;
