3 Preparatory Tasks

A fully verified system backup should be taken prior to making any changes to the

system’s configuration.

Copy the /kernel/drv/sd.conf file

Copy the /etc/system file

Install any operating system patches required by the Emulex LP9002 driver packages

If the system already contains a previous version of the HBA driver this will need to be

uninstalled before the new version can be installed. Before doing this, make a copy of

the lpfc.conf or lpfs.conf file.
